The Question of Meaning Is it just me, or does the cold hurt right now? Yesterday I rode my bike to the harbor in -7 degree weather. When I reached my destination, I couldn't tell the receptionist at Gruner+Jahr my name or who I was meeting. My jaw no longer moving, I wrote my request on a piece of paper. They sat me down on the sofa to wait and defrost, where I leafed through French Gala and wondered why I didn't actually look as fantastic as Vanessa Paradis.

The dress question This has to do, among other things, with the fact that Vanessa Paradis probably not cycling around in frosty weather. Nevertheless, I googled her age. To be on the safe side, I also looked up the age of Nineties supermodel Tatjana Patitz, whom I adored in my youth in the George Michael video for "Freedom" for making smoking in bed look so darn sexy. That was almost thirty years ago and today, as far as my bed is concerned, I am happily dealing with more existential issues.

Showtime Friday I have to go to Berlin for a talk show. The last time I was there, I wore two different socks. This time I have to prepare better. So: How do I combine Moon Boots with my new Favorite Blouse? The answer: not at all, I'm afraid. It's high time for spring, a flambé heart and a little reminder from my Superman Yogi Bhajan: "You are a woman, not a Playmate!"
